Guidelines

Are you interested in contributing to The Nunatak?

Email us at editors@thenunatak.com. We will read and consider all pitches that adhere to the following guidelines. 

The pitch should include a brief description of your vision for the piece, why you think it would be a good fit for The Nunatak, projected word count, photo support, and at least two previous published writing samples. Please do not send full manuscripts, they will not be read or considered viable submissions. 

Do not—under any circumstance—use AI tools to write, edit, or proofread any of your work. The Nunatak is an exploration of the human experience, and using AI to polish your expression is wholly antithetical to that experience. 

The Nunatak will publish everything from poetry to feature-length essays. If you have a voice that fits the vision, we want to hear from you.
