The mission
of The Nunatak is to tell great stories. Plain and simple. We want to give writers and photographers in the outdoor world a platform to be creative and authentic. To tell stories of life, love, loss, and purpose. To dig into the reasons why we venture to magnificent places searching for the sublime.
Our features
deal with loss in the mountains, sea kayak to ski expeditions in Alaska, first ascents in remote ranges, the art of the deproach, unlikely friendships, life defining work, and much more. These are not stories from the “cutting edge,” but rather stories of the human experience.
We believe
there is an abundance of unshared talent in the communities we engage in. This is our shot at giving a voice to the wild.
